Dr Roo enjoys working with people who are thoughtful, curious, and open to self-exploration—often high-achieving professionals who are used to handling a lot, but find themselves feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. If you're someone who values personal growth and are ready to dig a little deeper, we’ll likely be a good fit.
She says, "I think of my job as empowering people to make choices. Together we try to understand how formative experiences have shaped how you relate to yourself, other people, and the world. With this insight, you can choose how to let go of unhelpful patterns which keep you stuck in a familiar but painful place".
Dr Roo is a London-based chartered clinical psychologist. Outside of her private practice, she works in a renowned private hospital as the service lead for Talking Therapies. She has expertise in working with people who have experienced trauma, individuals with marginalised identities (global majority and LGBTQIA+), and those dealing with chronic or acute physical illnesses, including cancer.

Dr Roo works from a relational psychodynamic framework and integrates elements of CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), EMDR (eye-movement desensitisation and reprocessing), CPT (cognitive processing therapy), and DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy). This integrative approach, with the therapeutic relationship as the foundation, is instrumental in helping her patients not only move through symptoms which are causing distress in the present but crucially, to address longer-term patterns which may be getting in the way.
Her patients have frequently described her as warm, relatable, professional, and affirming.
